Some directories are better in print.
Truckers can't take just any exit. They are driving a 70' long rig, weighing up to 80,000+ lbs. They need fast, logical, simple information and they they want it free from distractions. This guide provides exactly that. We are million-mile drivers and we invented it. Before we showed up (pre-Google), drivers had to rely on directories that were alphabetical and, thus, pretty much useless. Instead we laid out the locations by exit/mile-marker or crossroads. Then we started adding important navigational notes which are constantly changing and evolving. We made the first few just for us, but pretty soon everybody wanted one. Today, hundreds of thousands of truckers, dispatchers, fleet managers, RVers and other road warriors rely on it throughout the day to determine the distance to the state line, the next rest area, truck stop, breakdown location, etc. We've sold millions of them.
BTW, we love digital stuff as much as anyone, but this printed directory is faster than any device, and much more reliable—for a lot of reasons.
Drivers are reminded to never use this guide if their vehicle is moving, and they are behind the wheel. Safety first.
